How to find a job after being retrenched
We can find new jobs for retrenched workers
The first step is simply to work out what you are willing, or able, to do. With our help, you can then contact hundreds of companies that might have a job similar to the one that you want. We only need to find one company that has a vacancy to be able to give you a great chance of getting that job.
Our aim is to find the vacancy before it is advertised so that you do not have any competition. And, if we are able to find the job before anyone else knows about it, then the employer won’t be comparing you to anyone else – all you need to show is that you are able to do the job. That’s why we are able to find jobs for retrenched workers so fast.
You need a good resume and perfect cover letter
The first step in any job search is to make sure that you have a good resume and cover letter. If you have just been retrenched there is a good chance that you don’t even have an up-to-date cover letter or resume. You need one fast. But don’t stress about it. Less can be more.
Simply list your previous jobs and a bit about what you did . Don’t go overboard. If someone tells you that they have worked for the past 10 years as a hairdresser in a big city salon you can instantly picture their skills and abilities. This person does not need to explain that they can cut hair, colour hair, curl hair and so on. A concise resume is better than an obsessively long one. Your cover letter is even more important. It should showcase your experience and abilities in a few very clear lines.
If you can’t – or don’t want to – write your own cover letter or resume we have writers that can do it for you. Our writers are among the best writers in Australia.
We can search for virtually any job except for government, hospitality and retail jobs. But for a glimpse at how successful we have been at findin jobs have a look at our Testimonials page.
